I have only been to places in that area that can accommodate small groups, so I have posted the question to the Washington Post's Going Out Gurus for their recommendation. They are conducting their weekly live chat's this afternoon (when I'll be on a plane to LA to see Fiction Plane tonight at the Viper Room. My favorite dc choice is Old Ebbitt Grille but it's a few metro stops down by the White House. First we need to get a headcount and a time to meet.

I was seriously considering coming down for the weekend and give the get together an international flair. However, I'm now booked up that weekend with a mini-reunion of old university chums. I will be thinking of you all though and likely talking about you. Whenever I get together with old friends, one who I've remained in close touch with always wants me to tell the story of how I became a "groupie" as she likes to put it. With an intro like that, it's hard to just change the topic.
