Stewart interview on Highlander 2 Blu-ray

Accroding to the website DVD Talk, the (not very good) movie Highlander 2 has been released in a Blu-ray version with a 9 minute interview with Stewart, who composed the soundtrack.

From what I can tell, this is only on the Blu-ray.

What a pity it's only on blu-ray.

I love the Highlander films and still watch them occasionally.

A superb mixture of fantasy, corny humour, sadness and wonderful music.
Plus the divine Sean Connery and now an interview with Stewart too!

I might have to get blu-ray, if only I knew what it is.

It is an improved DVD system that, of course, requires a new system.

I don't have a Blu-ray player either but I doubt this will cause me to get one.

I am not positive it is only Blu-ray but the article I quote only mentions Blu-ray and Amazon shows a release date of November 2010 for the Blu-ray but not the DVD.

C'mon, people--go Blu! Much better than standard and you can still play your current DVDs on a Blu Ray player. I converted this year and I'm very glad I did. There are many more reasons (other than Highlander 2) to upgrade, trust me.

Thank you very much for that Nick.

I don't know anyone who has a blu-ray player so I had no idea what it was or how it worked. I just looked them up on Amazon and they seem to vary so much in price it would be hard to know what to get.

I was also thinking that I couldn't possibly afford to replace all my DVD's with Blu-ray versions and then thedaner said

Well that's good to know. But can you play blu-ray discs on your current DVD player? Probably not. I,m saving up for 2012 when the IoW goes digital and I'll probably have to buy new everything anyway.

No, you cannot play Blu Ray discs on a standard player. However, Blu Ray players are getting less expensive all the time and they will make your standard DVDs look a LOT better.

avoid "Highlander 2" like the plague, Ebola or a new Sting record !!

I remember that I went to see the movie at our local cinema. I loved the transitions in the original "Highlander" and knew that Stewart composed the music. So naturally I had to see the movie.

The end of the movie saw the whole audience laughing - and not in a good way !!!

It's so bad it makes me like the original "Highlander" less now.

True, but it's got Sean Connery who was very attractive even though he was an oldster in that film.
