So bummed I missed this! Just couldn’t quite make it happen.
Sounds like we were well represented as always.

On a side note, and not to hijack the thread, but we did have an excellent LA adventure last Thursday seeing Fiction Plane at The Viper Room with Conroy, Empty, and many others.
Thanks to Empty talking me into going and giving me a “booth” tip, with by bum foot I was able to sit in my own booth for most of the show and later a very nice guy got me a stool.
Anyway, if you ever have a chance to see Fiction Plane in a small venue it really is a MUST see. They are awesome and Joe and the gang are getting better and better. A few times I closed my eyes and it was like being right back in the day.
The drummer was really cool, I forget his name, he was hangin out in front of the Viper Room talking to fans, signing CDs and taking a piture with all of us. Mmmm, interesting the drummer is very social and outgoing and the lead singer/bass player was more elusive and no where to be seen.
Unfortunately, due to the sucky US music industry they have no US label. They are selling their CDs at shows. I hope they do another Viper room show, so Conroy save some of those Frequent Flyer miles!

Conroy, I hope you didn't mean you were sleeping through the show? ; )

That's just too bad that your mp3 player gave up on you.
Thanks so much for the effort though!

I'm glad those of you who had the opportunity to go had such a good time. Cool cellphone-flag-action, by the way.

Excellent. Thanks folks! So glad Nutters can be reliably depended upon, for updates on things like this.

Now I'm all tasted up for Dallas...gonna have to wait and see if I'm still boycotting flying by then (long story) and if so, if I can get the time off to drive out there.
On Google - site:stewartcopeland.net "your keyword here" - thanks DM!!

Thanks so much, conroy! I'm listening now as I type. Your signature WHOOOO is becoming almost as distinctive as Stewart's hi hat sound.
Thanks also to cillae for the link to the Grammy Museum piece. I love that in the blurb they refer to Stewart first as an author and last as a performer 'cus, you know, he's really such a quiet introvert and all.
In Dallas, the only game that really mattered was in the word gamelan.

Awesome.

Thanks Conroy.

Listened this afternoon in my office (with the door closed so Woos did not carry down the hall and co-workers start to wonder what was going on   )

Really helps to read Conroy's and Empty's report first and then listen; you know exactly what is going on without video(although thanks to cillae, you can bring up pictures)
