Awesome videos, pictures, and reports.

Sounds liek a great time.

Songs like Celeste and the Orchetsralli tunes are so much better in person.
SC-There are a few crazy people on this planet. Sure sign of that is that they kinda like my music

I made two photos of Stewart signing Maud's stuff, but from behind. They were made with Rüdiger's camera so I can't present them here...

We didn't pose, but there are photo's taken of us talking. I know Kate has one, Miquel has one and there's one or two on Rüdiger's camera. Sooooo, I'm trying to be very, very patient :P

I have 2 video's of the soundcheck. One of Our Mother is alive and one of Does Everyone Stare.
I don't feel comfortable with making them public, but I want to share them with you.

So email me at info at maud138 dot nl and I will sent you the link!

I'm uploading some bad photos, slowly....I can't add much to what has been said already. It was a fantastic day.

I'm a music lover but a physics nerd so my favourite soundcheck moments combined both:

1) Had to keep pinching myself - yup, that was Daniel Hope asking for more of Sebastian Knauer's piano in his monitor. Mr Hope was about two meters away from the piano, but also about two meters away from the drums, so one could appreciate why he needed the piano turned up to 11. Mr Hope kept asking for more piano. Eventually someone picked the monitor up and moved it closer to the internationally acclaimed violinist. That seemed to sort out the problem. Sound waves attenuate over distance according to an inverse square law (I think).

2) 'I'm losing my kick drum'. Newtonian physics is flawed in the grand scheme of the universe, but it works well as a rule of thumb in most situations. If you wallop something that isn't screwed down it moves in the direction of the wallop, unless the wallop is insignificant. Mr Copeland does not wallop insignificantly, so ballast was applied without obvious success. Maud spotted that by show time things had been screwed down. Irresistable force meets immovable object :P

It was a magnificent day because people managed to get there and enjoy it. Maud, you rock!
