Was he any good? I'm not that crazy about his solo album.

Last night I saw The Wall @ MSG and my mind is still blown today. That was probably the single greatest concert I've ever seen in my life.

Can't wait for the show in Philly. Vespa & I are contemplating if we can scrounge it together to see it a third time.

Fiction Plane will be in New York on November 15th (Mercury Lounge), it says on their site - I don't know if you can still get tickets. But most of their gigs on this tour are in Europe.

Yeah, I just recently saw them mention that on Facebook. I'm sure tickets are available (these little club shows don't tend to sell out very quickly.)

Just debating if I will go or not - will anyone else be there? Since I did just cough up the $'s for a third Wall show ::cough:: and I wasn't all that thrilled with the last FP album, I'm indecisive...

the Brandon Flowers gig was good, but not THAT good - like a Killers concert

the band played just OK, but a bit like hired students

I like about half the songs from his solo CD - and that with some effort and good will

he also played 2 Killers songs and Bette Davis Eyes, which at least made it more entertaining than just playing the solo stuff

I'm going to see Ceremony and Vinyl Screen Image (a couple of great local artists who brilliantly channel the synth 80's sounds of New Order and the Cure but at the same time having their own cool unique sounds) on Friday here in FredVegas (this link explains that joke: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.p ... =Fredvegas) and then my favorite Rockabilly band Southern Culture on the Skids at the 9:30 club in DC on Saturday. I also just bought my ticket to see Fiction Plane at the Viper Room in November. Haven't decided if I'll check out the Mercury Lounge show yet, though.

Looks like I'll try to hit the Fiction Plane show in NY next week provided tickets are still available. I'm getting comfortable enough driving, I think, that I can swing the trip to Metropark & train it there and back that night. Any plan for pre/post-show munchies yet?

I'm also going to my 4th Wall show tomorrow night. *FACEPALM* Oh hai new/old shiny obsession. Somehow "only 2 shows" have doubled because there is just no way I can't go to every Philly-area show. One of our local newspapers actually said this week "Everyone should see it once before they die" and like...yeah. I totally agree with that sentiment.

There are some good DVDs of The Wall circulating. Particularly the MSG show and the Chicago show. Certainly worth getting

Thanks for the heads up - which MSG show, do you know? I'd love to get the one I was at but any would do nicely in the meantime.

You are gonna love that McCartney gig, Horacio.

Quandary: Tix for The Posies and Grinderman the same night next week. This has been happening a lot lately...had to miss MGMT and Mumford & Sons lately due to the concert calendar around here picking up...

Thanks for the heads up on the Chicago show (which is circulating as "iShoot, iEdit" and is on Traders Den and elsewhere already). Amazing job of editing on that, apparently he combined footage from 4 different concerts for it. I only wish that guy had recorded some of the later shows on the East Coast as I could easily see how much tighter the band was (and how much more Roger was hamming it up) in Philly in comparison. I hope there are some later shows in the tour that get recorded as well.
