Howdy

Howdy

Another new member here. I’m a long-term Police fan, but a fairly new Stewart fan. I always loved The Police but wasn’t really old enough to fully appreciate them in their heyday. I was 12 when they came to town (Birmingham, AL) on the Synchronicity tour in 1983, and my parents wouldn’t let me go to the show. I’m still a little pissed off about that.

Much more recently, I saw Everyone Stares and got excited about it all over again. I’m currently reading (and really enjoying) Strange Things Happen. I love Stewart’s viewpoint and sense of humor in this book. I’m looking forward to hearing and reading more in the future!

Some 'tech' problems were sorted out in the last few days...so now we will surely have some new comers...or we'd better say new friends...new nutters!

Welcome to Copelandia Luna Virgo. You are amongst friends here. I am glad we have new friends, nutters here on board. You are going to have a blast here. Just in time for holidays too. See thread about Christmas Card list.
I started it, and kept it going a few years until some computer problems came my way and someone else adopted it for me.(thank you)
Welcome aboard.

Welcome aboard to the boards, Luna. It's great to have new acolytes to spread the Gospel of Copelandia. Did you know that Stewart's late was originally from Birmingham?

Welcome, luna_virgo! Like you, I'd always been a Police fan, but it was Stewart's non-musical works that first sparked my true appreciation for him in particular. Since then, I've of course come to realize the depth of his musical awesomeness. I'm looking forward to being wowed once again by the Stewartness when I hear his concerto in Dallas. That said, I certainly wouldn't turn up my nose at Strange Things Happen, Volume II.
In Dallas, the only game that really mattered was in the word gamelan.

Thanks for the welcome, everybody!

Conroy: Yes, I think it's pretty cool that Stewart's dad was from my hometown. Sometimes I think I can hear a little Bama influence in Stewart's voice!
