Hmmmm... I do have an original of the Regatta De Blanc LP button (I keep Stingo's face covered up w/ a piece of duct tape when wearing in public!  ), but I still don't see the Stewart-only large round button that I have (it's the one I used to make that ornament/bookmark included w/ MerryHoliday card I sent for Nutter List 2008, by the way). And I STILL haven't gotten around to using the scanner at Library to load and send on to Dietmar   ........
I am enjoying the heck out of this post, Dietmar! Thank you.

This is an awesome collection.

I like the guitar shaped ones the best.

Thanks Dietmar, such fun to look at them all.

The Empire Hotel is a swanky hotel in downtown Vancouver. Perhaps The Police were staying there when they were performing at The Pacific Coliseum in '82 or '83. Maybe some overly zealous fans planned to hold vigil there and/or raid the place and even made buttons to mark the occasion. However, I don't know if that hotel existed in the 80's. Our Vancouver Nutters could tell you better. (If it has been around for a while, it might be the same hotel mentioned in Joni Mitchell's song "Raised on Robbery".)

According to all knowing Wikipedia, The Empire Landmark Hotel was built in 1973, but it used be called the Sheraton Landmark, a name that is still supposedly used by some in every day parlance. There's no info on when the name change came about. Tamadude? Rusty James? Can you help us out?

More fun with Wikipedia, and more confusion. There used to be a stadium in Vancouver called The Empire Stadium. It was torn down in the 90's, and it was on the old Pacific National Exhibition grounds which was, as it turns out, also the home of The Pacific Coliseum. Having never been farther West in Canada than the Ontario-Michigan border, I'm not much of an expert on any of this, but I hope it helps.
