The Police - buttons, pins, badges...

The Police - buttons, pins, badges...

Postby Dietmar on 25 Oct 2010 11:01

I started to upload my buttons / pins / badges collection to the Police Wiki:

http://www.policefans.org/Police_wiki/i ... _Police%29

this is just the start - it takes a lot of time - but there are about 200-300 more to come

Dietmar, you are an icon in your own right! Who's going to develop a Wiki page on you?

This is the one I had pinned to my lapel of my favorite jacket all during High School and College. Sadly, I have no idea where it is now.

Those are totally awesome. Wow, took me back to my childhood when I had decorated my ENTIRE room floor to ceiling with Police/Stewart stuff. Then I moved into a different room, kept everything in its place until my adult years when I moved out and got married. Came home and found EVERYTHING GONE~~ IT CRUSHED MY HEART!!

That is what is great about being here too, I get to reconnect with what I thought was gone forever. Thanks for sharing with us Dietmar...:)

Epic project!

I sure did love them buttons and pins...rare was the day I didn't have at least one of these on my clothing. Such an inexpensive way to pledge my allegiance.

We all wore so many buttons, or badges (as we called them) on our school uniforms that they were banned. Then we wore them on the inside of our shirts and skirts so the teachers couldn't see them.

Such a lovely trip down memory lane Dietmar. Thank you so much.

That's what I call hardcore fandom - cute!

I have fond memories of this one:

I remember it started to rust, and it somehow got lost, as did all my other buttons.
Thanks for this trip down memory lane, Dietmar!

Like OMG!! I thought I had loads of badges, but my collection is rubbish compared to yours! Keep meaning to display mine, but I still haven't got round to it!!
