Rush Hour

Rush Hour

Postby drummike on 13 Oct 2010 02:11

While reading the Police wiki, I realized that I had forgotten about the short-lived Rush Hour band which included Andy Summers.

Did anyone on this forum get to hear them in concert? I'd like to read your memories of what they were like.

If anyone has any recordings of Rush Hour in performance, I'd really like to hear them. I'd love to hear how they sounded before Andy left and they became Animal Logic.

Me too.

(its my understanding that Deborah Holland herself made a recording that has found its way into the hands of some very select people)

I saw them live at Canecão, Rio de Janeiro in 1987, 3 days before Sting's concert in Maracanã. There were rumors that the Police would reunite for a few songs since the 3 of them were in town at the same time.

Rush Hour's gig was okay, but I was never an enthusiast. The highlight of the show was a water down version of "DSSCTM" Lots of Stanley Clarke solos. If I happen to find some material I will surely post the link here.

I remember very well those days and I tryed to find something but I never got anything.
A couple of years later, I was talking with Andy Summers about this project and he was almost forgetting the whole project.
