Remembering John Lennon on his 70th Birthday

John Lennon would have turned 70 today.

Thinking of the great music he made and wonderign what could have been had he been able to stay with us for the last 30 years.
SC-There are a few crazy people on this planet. Sure sign of that is that they kinda like my music

It's hard to imagine him as an oldie.

I was 15 when he died and remember hearing about it whilst sneaking a crafty smoke during school breaktime.

Now I'm older than he was when he died.

I wonder if he'd still have been making music now.

Rest In Peace, my prayer for you, John. I've spent my day trying to imagine what he would be like if he was with us at 70...

I´ll never forget this moment in October 1980 :a little coffe-shop in my hometown Cologne, a little school-kids smalltalk with my very best girl-friend, even died a long time ago. "John Lennon was shot, he`s dead !" Very emotional, altough it´s 30 years ago. I feel very sad about it, `til today.
Only the good die young - I don`t know . But, otherwise, I can`t imagine a John Lennon at his 70th birthday - but 30 years ago, I even can`t imagine, that I am gettin older . . .
Sorry, I know for sure: bad, bad English - but I´m a German Girl with no pratcice for al long time . . . A Spaniard in the Works !
A German, too

Thanks for sharing, Doro--only thing is, Lennon's 40th birthday was in October 1980; he was shot in December. Lennon is an always will be a legend to me. If only he were around to celebrate this milestone.
