When I saw 20th HS reunion, well the rocking chair began to beckon to me....arghhhh....
Glad to hear the kittys are getting settled in to new home - cats can be funny when they are moved, especially if their humans don't get their permission first! Ha!
Enjoy this home y'all are beginning, exciting.....

The move is going on smooth...we are set up pretty much and now await furniture deliveries.....the sunsets are great..the smells are great...we have 6 tomato plants that may produce this year. One fig tree is booming, the other is slow but may have a chance. Sockiis laboratory (kitchen) is producing miracles on a daily basis...my studio is set up and I am working on St. cecilia at the moment (patron saint of musica). Its fantastic to be out in the boondocks and being able to walk in the backyard and smell the eggplant farm behind us...and not see a human. Sockiis driving skills are going well and her conversion to a suburbanite is going smooth although she still locks all car and house doors at night.
Life is good when you have great sunsets and sockii everyday!!

Nice!! The Ohio River valley soil produces much tastier tomatoes than the ol' VA red clay I grew up w/ (altho' we have fantastic peaches and apples, none can beat!), but my mouth waters when I think of tomatoes and corn fron y'all's neck of the woods-and really great backyard gardens.
My folks and I lived in East Orange NJ until I was 5, then we moved to Amherst Co in VA. Aa much as I had fond memories of seeing Santa at Macy's, the Newark Museum, etc....., w/in 6 months it was as if I'd never been up north at all! sockii will love it, and it sounds as tho' ya'll are still close enough to Philly. Thnx for update!

Hey 63falcon!

Thanks for asking - would have responded earlier except I've been crazy-busy getting ready for Dragon*Con at the moment!

We're loving the new house, despite all the work involved in getting settled in. We did about 6 uhaul trips back in July (no I'm not exaggerating) and we still have probably 3-4 more to go next month to finish moving in. Plus lots of rooms to finish working on getting set up, in need of new furniture as we can afford it, etc...

I'm still hoping we can have some kind of combined housewarming/holiday party for nutters later this fall/early winter.

We're about 45 minutes outside of Philly, but seriously I am not missing it AT ALL. I still have to trek in a couple times a week for work-related stuff, and am always relieved the moment I get on the bus to get out of the city and GO HOME!
