I love the way the song starts, rhythmic pattern, vocal line, bass line (simple but fantastic, very Police I have to say), and guitar arrangement...up until 35"...then it turns into an arrangement that I don't personally like that much. The sound of the voice do not impress me too much, but the whole projects sound anyway good. She's got quite a provocative image, the eyes seems to spread that kind of 'unpleasant feeling' towards the society, seems always angry, probably a look that younger generations can identify with.

I met her many times, saw her growing, saw her at almost any age...and it's good to see her now in this role. Stewart told me she really got something when he saw her on stage...and you know that he always had that talent in knowing if someone can 'have that something' up there on stage.

yup it's okaaaay. it is catchy and she can 'do it'.... but i think i'm not really meant to like it because i'm not a teenage girl or a writer for a weekend newpaper supplement.

i do miss the demo's and the other tunes which were around last year / year before... they seemed to have much more character and humour to me; two things which are missing from this new polished coco... they've replaced humour and character with sullen, dark-eyed, edgy version of millionaire pop-star's daughter Coco... doesn't really work for me.....

and i doubt she'll be singing about "hotrocks on the chesterfield" again, which is a shame.

Hmmm. Yeah, I like the old stuff too, but (maybe I'm just a sucker for Kraftwerk etc) I do think the newer tunes are a notch above the usual disco pap you hear around the Interwebs. I'm sure there's a fair amount of record company bullshit leavened upon our girl to put out highly-produced radio friendly unit shifters...maybe she'll break loose and put out some minimalist side project at some point...

On the other hand, she could have gone the indie route and maintained more creative control. It'll be interesting to see how her career plays out.

Hmm. Like this one a lot more than Selfmachine, which was just too electro-dancey for me. This at least seems to have a little more complexity and depth to the sound.

I don't necessarily have a problem with the retro 80s synth trend that's suddenly all the rage, apparently. It pushes my nostalgia buttons a bit, but it just seems like all these artists I've liked before are abandoning their older sound for it (go on and ask me to grumble over the new Hoosiers album while I'm at it, as much as I adore some of the tracks. I just want to hear some damned drums, guitar and bass again.)

Well, she's 20 and I guess she's more interested in pointing to fans of that age, more or less, fans who haven't lived 'the Eighties' but probably heard about that decade from their parents; usually producers (older than the artists) get at full hands from the past, but usually it sounds quite new to younger listeners.
Her songs sounds anyway fresh.
