I'm trying to decide how I feel about the Hoosiers new album, The Illusion of Safety, hence listening to it heavily.

On one hand, disappointed they seem to have gone totally synth-pop. On the other hand, some of it is gloriously retro, and Irwin's vocals are as beautiful as ever. I just miss the less-produced sound of "The Trick to Life" which was my favorite album by a new band in the past several years.

That said, they still are the ONLY band today making kick-ass music videos.
