So, I'm not going to try to get there at 11 and hang around until 2. How 'bout we meet about 12 and get some lunch and then head back over for Jeff?

Anybody? Anybody? Bueller?

Sounds like a plan.

Sounds good. I expect Conroy and I will still head up early as we don't know what the traffic will be like from my new place. So we should definitely be up in Harrisburg between 11 & noon to meet up with folks.

Well, I have most of y'all's cell phone numbers, so we can stay in contact as far as lunch timing, etc. How does everyone feel about Mexican? There's a terrific local Mexican restaurant within about 5 miles of Dale's that has great food, fast service, and it's cheap. If no one's into that there are plenty of chains or other places around. What does everyone wanna do?

ETA: I rechecked the map and it's practically across the street from Dale's. We could even walk.
ETA again: Or this place, at which I've never eaten, but it's on the same street as Dale's:

The drum clinic was a blast. After a brief introduction by someone from the store (was it Dale?) which included showing Jeff's infamous take down scene of a crazed fan jumping onstage that was in Police Around the World, Jeff came out and talked about his background before he mounted the chariot. He talked about how he got the bug early on and had lots of cute anecdotes to go along with the story. He also talked about how there were a few experiences that happened to him that were premonitions of his future career with the Police. Then Jeff got behind the kit and told more stories about his experiences with the Police and showed off some of the licks on the drums which are familiar to all of us. Jeff is a great storyteller and he admitted initially he was nervous because he had never done this sort of thing for an audience before and it didn't take him to get comfortable doing it and he had the audience captivated. He discussed the three kits that Stewart used while he was with the Police and Jeff had some behind the stories to go along with them. There was a Q&a at the end and then everyone got to chat with Jeff after that. This was the first drum clinic that Jeff did for Tama and I hope they consider having Jeff do more of them at other drum shops/music stores in the future. Anybody who even remotely is interested in drums MUST pay a visit to Dale's Drum Shop. It is like a toy store for drummers.. I would say there is no other place like it in the US.

Yo Con!
Thank you (and Amy, Sockii, and Shmaff!) for saving me a seat! Jeff did a great job. The person who introduced him was first, the owner of Dale's, then the President of TAMA. Jeff's stories were great. I think if he gets some more practice and gets more specific with gear mentions and technique, TAMA will be happy, and there will be more of these coming to your town soon.

It was great to see some nutters and the kit.

Incidentally, the kit there was borrowed from some local dude. It wasn't a Signature Kit, I overheard. He had special ordered it previous to the Signature kit being offered. It's like the Kit from the Grammy's, I believe.

So TAMADUDE and others with the kit, write TAMA and bring Jeff to YOUR local shop.

It was a lot of fun. I'll get my write-up done tomorrow, sadly didn't take any video but had a lot of fun seeing everyone and Jeff has some great info to share.

Thanks for the recap folks.
I saw the 'alert' on FB but am not connected to Jeff so was VERY curious as to what was up!

Glad it was informative and enjoyable. Im sure Jeff gave good 'dinner tales'

Will look to see if he comes to my town and drag some youngsters along who could benefit from his tales of yore.
