Bill Belknap, Tulsa recording engineer on Rumblefish

Hi everybody. Giovanni here.
In a few days I will post an interview with Bill Belknap, the engineer who worked with Stewart Copeland on 'Rumblefish' soundtrack. I know this is considered from many of you, one of the best recording ever done by Stewart as a solo artist, and wonder if you would like to place some specific questions to Bill. I already have some curiosities to ask, but as usual it would be great if we can work on it together, and I am sure that some of you would love to place some questions.
So c'mon nutters...it's our time again! I just give you a couple of days...ehehe, ok ok let's make three!
Thanks gang!

Heavens, Gio, I thought he'd died!

I'm going to defer to the more seasoned Nutters for burning questions. I can only wonder "what was it really like to work with Stewart at that tender age?"

This may or may not be useful, but Robin Yeager's writeup about recording RumbleFish might help you generate some ideas for your questions for Belknap, Gio:

http://tresvirgosstudio.com/history (scroll way down to RumbleFish).

Questions that pop into my head:

* What was the biggest challenge and/or most creative solution they came up with for RumbleFish? (Though I suspect those answers have been well covered already.)
* (Riffing off Dietmar) What equipment was used?
* Did he ever convince his wife that he'd worked with Stewart? --> http://www.stewartcopeland.net/forum/se ... 1&sr=posts
Dramatic highlights & a unique musical cosmos. Guaranteed.

leading from DM's (odd) link; what did Bill mean when he said "I still have the gun with your prints."?

OK, here's a question: did Stewart actually play a typewriter, or were the typewriter sounds sampled and run through a Fairlight?

Thanks in advance. I'll try to think of more questions.

Ok good, I will add them to my interview...I also have some exclusive pics that will be used together with the final edit of the interview on line.
Thanks.

Ok, I have one: Why did Stewart's drums sound so horrible? Muffled, flat and dull - like cardboard boxes!
