Sting - Private Sessions

Sting - Private Sessions

In the "don't believe everything you read category":
I caught Sting's recent appearance on "Private Sessions" where he played a bunch of stuff with the orchestra and did a lengthy interview. He actually came across as pretty gracious about the Police and THE TOUR. Completely opposite from what I was expecting him to say after those recent print articles. Sting did say it was difficult and hard to do, but he never hinted that it was a nightmare or anything remotely like that.
They talked about why he picked that moment to reform. When the lady asked him if "the mood might hit him again to reform in the new five years or so", he laughed and said something about living to surprise people. Sting came off quite well in the interview, without a hint of douchebaginess...

Very interesting. Makes you wonder whether the bias of the interviewer, or the slant of what was chosen to include in the article(s) was actually the problem and not "our" Sting.

I saw a small part of the program while I was getting ready for work on Sunday. Just long enough to see they were at Red Rocks.

It was a nice program (except for some reason, whenever I see Dominic Miller I want to punch something).
At this point, I wonder if we'll ever hear any new pop music from Sting again. My impression is that he is easing towards retirement... Classical music, Vegas-type shows and collaborations are the only things we might see from Sting from now on. Just a hunch...
