WIMBLEDON, England -- The longest match in tennis history has been suspended for darkness at 59-59 in the fifth set at Wimbledon. The first-round match between 23rd-seeded John Isner of Tampa, Fla., and qualifier Nicolas Mahut of France was halted at dusk Wednesday. It had already been suspended because of fading light Tuesday night after the fourth set.

They have been playing for a total of exactly 10 hours -- 7 hours, 6 minutes in the fifth set alone, enough to break the full-match record of 6:33, set at the 2004 French Open.
There is no bigger gong.

New Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers CD, Mojo.

I am finding it very tight, good guitars, and quite unmemorable songs. Nothing that sticks out in it. Kid of disappointing for CD that has no actal flaws but not real gems either.
SC-There are a few crazy people on this planet. Sure sign of that is that they kinda like my music

New album by Prince which was a freebie in the Mirror yesterday.

For me it's ok, quite enjoyable sort of background music but i expect real Prince fans will love it.
Reminds me very much of Wendy and Lisa - Fruit at the bottom but then something in my dim and distant memory tells me that they were his backing singers at some point. Am I right? Does anyone know?

^ fink so. i can't hear talk of Prince without thinking "little purple twat."

apart from a crying baby ( :( ) i've been listening to :
some Trojan Box Sets ("British" and "Mod" ones),
Bill Withers(Still Bill),
Gordo Symphonicity / Reggatta De Wank Bootleg from 'ollywood bowl a couple o' weeks ago (s'alright, set is mostly gordo solo tunes which sound better or the same {englishman, hung my head, russians, shape of my heart etc} or fucking ruined police songs (roxanne, next to you).
three degrees greatest hits (ooo-ooo, ah-ahhh, precious moments" if there's a better intro to a song then i haven't heard it (apart from the message riff at the start of hyde park containing my first point from SC)
the clash black market clash
madness rise and fall and lengthly-titled new one.
and some assorted lullabies and baby music.....

but, frankly, mostly a crying baby! (colic, dont cha know. tsssk)

That's correct: Lisa ( Coleman) and Wendy (no last name). Sheila E was his drummer.

I still have my copy of Purple Rain is you want to take a chance.

Hot Head Show CD.
