Here is a very useful post on how you can donate and assist:

I donated to the International Bird Rescue Research Center and adopted a duckling. I only wish I had more readily available right now to adopt a pelican or two. :(

During a recent visit to Tennessee I was suprised to see a BP gas station on every corner! No lie! It was a monopoly down there. Here in Williamsburg we have 3.

Previous to this whole shebang I thought BP WERE the good guys.
I guess all that marketing money they spent and their green logo just went up in flames.

I made this naive assumption because I thought BushMobilChevron were the bad guys.

Apparently There are no good guys.

I keep thinking:

The U.S. should revoke all drilling and exploration immediately: As a national security move, the U.S. should just nationalize oil. It's a national resource, and a national security necessity.

The argument against is that private business is better qualified, and will handle the business with greater competence and security.

However, doesn't it seem like we have nowhere to go but up on this issue?

And wouldn't it be cool if the royalties for Oil, the actual $ spent, went not to some fat oligarch's pocket, but towards paying off China?
