I am just about at our hotel but we have to jet out since the Rev Horton Heat and Cracker show starts whoppingly early (630) and then its two days of conference here in Pitt. The Ethiopian restaurant there is Montclair not far from the venue looked great and had really good reviews (shoulda woulda coulda <grin>). When we get back in tonight, I'll look it up and post the menu to see what y'all think about pre-show dinner.

OK: here's the restaurant right down the street from the Wellmont Theather that I mentioned. Am linking the menu below, in case y'all might be interested in checking it out. I do need to be clear that it is a BYOB joint, for those who might want a drink with dinner.

Let me know what you think, and how many we are talking if it looks good (I imagine a reservation might not be a terrible idea, being a Sat. show night and all).

Live blogging from the necktie... HHS just got here and I spotted Vaughn right away. Said hello and he introduced me to Jordan who brought me a cd right away.

This place is tiny and it's gonna ROCK for the show tonight!

Vaughn knew there's gonna be a lot of nutters at the shows coming up. Here I am definitely the only one here for HHS and not the headlining group. But they sounded good at the soundcheck so I might hang around for them too.

Just heading home now. Had a chance to chat with Jordan a bit about how happy we were to see HHS in the states and got some pics too I'll post when I get home.

One more video from last night (hope this link works, I had trouble trying to post on youtube):

I'm now contemplating seeing if I can get to the New Hope show as well as AC and the Troc. These guys are just too damned good to miss another chance to see them while I can.

Looks excellent. As long as the timing works out, I'm happy to go there. Sorry for the wishy-washiness: I'm hoping to get a better idea of tomorrow's timing by the end of today.
Dramatic highlights & a unique musical cosmos. Guaranteed.

Looks like dinner should be doable for me.

What time are folks thinking? (Doors are supposed to open at 7.)

YAY! Ok, if anyone can toss me a ballpark figure for how many (sorry been out of the loop and jumping in at the last minute here from the conference), even just a guess that'd be sweet. I'll duck out between the keynote and the dinner tonight and call them. Guessing like 5 would give us time to relax and enjoy dinner/company before heading over? Whadya think?

Vespa and I **may** try to join in late tomorrow, but I doubt we'll get out of the wedding reception in time since it doesn't start until 4pm. But if anyone can make the Trocadero show coming up, fuck yes I recommend it. Nothing beats seeing these guys in a really intimate, small stage setting.
