Stewart-D'Drum TV

Postby thedaner on 27 May 2010 17:55

For those of you who live in the Dallas, TX area:

A piece on D'Drum in the studio with Stewart Copeland will air today (5/27) at 4 pm on Channel 11, tonite at 8 pm on channel 21, and the channel 11 Morning show tomorrow (5/28).

I am checking to see if either channels' sites will post this video.

Thanks!

If you'd like to check yourselves, here are the sites for each station:

Channel 11 (KTVT): http://cbs11tv.com
Channel 21 (KTXA): http://cbs11tv.com/ktxa

It probably won't matter which since both are CBS channels.

Hope a lot of you are able to see this!

Thanks.

A reminder that Dallas is in the Central Time Zone, so 4 pm Dallas time is 5 pm EDT, 2 pm PDT. 8 pm is 9 pm EDT, 6 pm PDT.

No idea how that relates to non-U.S. time zones.

Here ya go, kids:

If it doesn't come up right away, the piece is called "Through The Lens: D'Drum"

I would guess that the other broadcasts will be the same, but will check for sure.

Hey folks. Very happy to post so I hope you've enjoyed it.

This is going to be an amazing piece. I only heard one movement, and Stewart's samples were just a guide. I can't even imagine what the orchestra is going to do. Stewart did get to see a performance by the DSO while he was here so I think he has a better idea of what he's composing for, not to mention the Meyerson is an incredible venue acoustically.

Better get your tickets--Roger Staubach predicted the 'Boys will go all the way, which I think is a long shot. If they do though, this place will be mayhem that weekend.

I looked at the Dallas Symphony website and I can't find that tickets for the event (as opposed to a series of concerts) are available yet. Am I missing something?

I think the city will be mayhem anyway with the Big Game in town even if the 'Boys aren't in it.

Hmmm. Looks like tickets aren't on sale yet. Keep checking back on the DSO site, or link from the D'Drum site (www.pureddrum.com).

And yes this place will be mayhem, 'Boys in the Big Game or not.
