Continue the topic of POLICE at Mont de Marsan Punk Festival... "Mont de Marsan Punk Festival" like an event pure of British Punk on France, perhaps could had the justification necessary for registered into a good quality film... what we saw on other thread was a shot filmed over a TV SET SCREEN... I don't know if you have noticed about it before, but now I just discover a colorful version on movie film 16mm or 35mm of "Mont de Marsan unk Festival" (August 6th) with professional camera shots... the scenery is the same that THE POLICE use (see the place of Stewart drum kit)...also you will see it was into a Bull Fight Arena or something similar and lot of French Punks, So I strongly think exist good quality film of THE POLICE QUARTET 1977:

Hi José,

I know that 10 years ago, the french channel M6 showed some Police footage from Mont-de-Marsan Punk Festival during a TV special dedicated to our favourite band. Sadly, I missed that show and never had the opportunity to see it. I don't know at all if the quality was good. I don't know neither if it's the same video posted on YouTube or something never released since.

It's cool to see those images of people going to the shows...you can see how the transaction from hippies to punk was on his way...you can still see some long-haired guys, but you can also see some early-days punks...great images! It would be great to have the whole movie.
I guess I have the images of the Police at Mont-de-Marson, if I don't get wrong is just one track...I have to double-check my video collection.

Jose,
I've tried to find this TV show, but sadly couldn't find anything at all.
I didn't see the promo spot at that time: M6 isn't a very good channel (quite the opposite I should say!) and I was very surprised they could broadcast something on The Police.
Some of my friends just informed me of that show some days after I missed it, and that there were some footage from Mont de Marsan, featuring 2 guitarists, one being a Corsican guy; and these images were announced on TV as being "seen for the first time".
BUT M6 isn't very professional, and the information is not very accurate. So maybe they just broadcasted some footage from another early show and claimed it was Mont de Marsan without being sure of that... Who knows?
Maybe some other french people on this board have seen this show and can tell us more?
