Hey Mike,

I was just going to purchase a ticket and then I read your message. I would definitely be interested in taking you up on that offer! I would gladly stick it to Ticketbastard anyway I can!
Ok, that's one "WOOOOOOOOO!" for Conroy comin' right up! 8)

At the last minute (and because another wonderfully enabling friend wanted to go too) I've decided to head down to San Diego tonight for the first show of the tour. I'm going to end up with a) 20 copies of the album and b) a restraining order at this rate.

Excellent, Larissa! You'll have to report back here afterwards.

I still have a spare ticket up for grabs for the Toronto May 3 show if anyone is interested. Yeah, it's a Monday night and the gig starts late, but an extra large coffee from the drive thru on Tuesday morning will remedy that. Let me know if you're up for the challenge.

Went to SD and then the Troubadour last night for the album launch. Both shows were fantastic; Taylor was obviously quite nervous before going on in San Diego, but once the show started he relaxed and seemed to have a great time, I know I did! The new songs sound fantastic, but then I knew they would; when he described this album as being like him having sex with his record collection, I said to myself, "yep, I'm gonna like this." :P

Special guests at the album launch included Mr Elliot Easton from The Cars, playing on Not Bad Luck and a cover of You're All I've Got Tonight, and my other favourite drummer & Taylor's best buddy, Mr David Grohl, playing drums on Your Shoes and a Foo cover, Cold Day In The Sun. The band is taping Jimmy Kimmel tomorrow night so I'm off to that performance, and am considering a drive up to Santa Barbara for Saturday night's show, if I can rope in my enabling friend again.

You're getting me all antsy for my show Larissa. It should be alot of fun at a nice intimate venue like the Grammercy.

BTW, I LOOOOVE your name! Brings back fond memories of a crush I had on a girl while travelling in Switzerland back when I was 18.

Haha, glad to be of service.

The tiny shows are always the best, IMHO. And these are TINY.

Hmmm, makes me wonder who, if any, might 'stop by' from the New York music scene?

I will not be able to make it to a concert, but I really like the album. Not Bad Luck, Way Down and It's over are my favorites at the moment. Funnily enough there is a song called Hole in My Shoe, which was the title of the first Traffic hit 8)

I think Tay has improved enormously as a singer and developed his quite unique style. To hear Queen-like choirs and May's unmistakable sound was puzzling at first, but then it went down smoothly. Must.have.
