In reverse world, you can play with any band you like and sing with the best of 'em! In reverse world everybody else wants to be in your band! You can hit every note in reverse world. In reverse world, you are also a master of every instrument, and guess what? You sound like a Grammy winner! In reverse world you don't even have to practice or rehearse!
Come on down.

I'm getting here late (what else is new?) so I'm not even sure how much of this thread is still on topic, but...

I'm working on two orchestral compositions. I haven't written in awhile so I have to get used to the tools again. It's really fucking painful writing these songs but it has to be done.

And I somehow convinced a sweetheart of an SC.netter in Italy to connect with my husband, and along with two other people in other countries they are collaborating and writing songs together. They've asked me to sing but I'm not sure that will happen yet (so far, there are no lyrics, making things difficult). I've only heard the headphone bleedthrough and that was from the other side of the room, but it sounds pretty nifty. Maybe fate sent me to be a Nutter just so M. and my husband could meet. Sounds about right.

Now I'll skip back and [fingers crossed] read more than the first few parts and last page of this post, and hope that all of you talented folks are having a better time of this writing/performing thing than I am! I miss you guys something fierce... wish I could connect to the Forum easier, but I continue to get errors and so I can only indulge very rarely. Be well and keep in touch.

Apologies for the late notice! TOMORROW MORNING, Thursday, April 15, 9 a.m. - 10 a.m. EST http://www.wmnf.org/programs/247

I will be interviewed and performing live with my collaborator, Joe Milligan, on the Florida Folk show hosted by Pete Gallagher on WMNF 88.5 FM. If you are not local to Tampa Bay, you can listen to the live stream from the link above (look for the "Now Playing -- Listen Here" link in the leftside navigation on the page). Thanks, in advance, for listening! If you should miss it, check the link because I think they archive the shows.

Also, we are releasing our CD Friday, so if you like what you hear, shoot me an email for deets.

Cheers,
Chatchka

So, last summer I played with the New York Ancients Fife and Drum Corp in a Parade and Muster up in Deep River, CT. It went so well they asked me to join. So since then, I've been practicing my drumming a bit and felt up to the challenge of marching this years St. Patricks Day Parade up 5th Avenue in NYC. We even got mentioned in The Irish Echo! http://www.irishecho.com/newspaper/story.cfm?id=12949 (about halfway down, "hardest working band in parade!) LOL

It was nice to work the cobwebs off. I haven't had that much fun at a Paddy's Day Parade since Dublin in '99. Now I'm looking forward to the summer Parade and Muster season.

I just checked and past issues don't come up, only current. You have to subscribe to the echo and download them in pda.

Great updates!

Michael, I'd wished I'd known you were playing on St. Patrick's Day. Let me know when your next gig is. I'm not a parade fan, but I'd love to get to cheer you on as you march by!
