"Sting / The Police DVDs" from LINKS section - A Caution!

most of you will have seen this in the links section.
thanks dietmar for being a typically useful source of information -
however in this instance i feel compelled to express my concern about the fact that these materials are being sold to fans in the first place.

i checked out the police stuff - presumably the story is the same for the sting material.

every police item is already freely available in the trading landscape - dietmar, all you had to do was ask... 8)

it really bothers me seeing shows that can be collected via dime or the tradersden being sold by a business person. it ain't right. ie elvis costello's spectacle - $15 - are you serious?

i'd discourage everyone from purchasing anything from this rip-off merchant. you can find all of this stuff either online or through the trading community, for free, the way it should be, where nobody gets hurt, nobody is being deprived of income, and the love is shared....

i'd rather spend my $15 on this: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/POLICE-THE-SUPPO ... 7529QQcmdZ

peace!

While I generally abhor bootleggers, unfortunately sometimes this can be the only source for some material. For instance, but for a bootlegger, we would not have been to get the DVD of Jones Beach 2. Sure I had to pay to get this show, but once I did, I did everything in my power to get this shared to as many people as possible (including getting it uploaded to Dime) to minimize the number of people who would have to pay for it.
There is no bigger gong.

The thing is I always ask myself how this guy, or whoever is, can sell this stuff so easily; while on youtube sometimes artists denies the simple viewing of a clip, in this case this company or whoever is can simply open a web and sell whatever he/she likes....or....

What particular link are you referring to? I keep trying to figure out which one you're talking about. Thanks.

There is a series of links on top (you see them as small ads) when you open most of the pages of this web; as almost every web that needs to be mantained with a certain amount of money (remember this web is owned and mantained by the Italian Team), clicking on these links helps us keeping this place alive.
The links change very frequently, but you can find the link we are talking about very easily if you check almost every day.
We do not choose the links, they appear and change automatically, and they keep a certain reference to the content of
the web.

Thanks, Gio. I kept looking at the actually links listed in the Links section and couldn't figure it out. I didn't think to actually ook at what the Google links were advertising. Da.
