OT - Taylor at Baked Potato March 9, 2010

On March 9, 2010, the Gannin Arnold Trio is playing at the legendary Baked Potato. Why would anyone care? Well, cuz the drummer is Taylor Fucking Hawkins!

The Baked Potato is a great, tiny little venue, which will guarantee close up views of Taylor.

Apparently the trio will play contemporary fusion. Not sure I've heard Taylor play fusion, but I am certainly interested.

Tickets are $20.

Sucks that its a Tuesday.

That sounds like a great venue. The sound must be awesome being so close to the instruments.

In NYC, Howstupidmrbates told me about seeing Andy play there many times back in the day.

I'd fer sure go watch Chad throw down beats if I could.

Fantastic place. There was a second one in Hollywood for a time, and Andy played there as well, but sadly that location didn't really take off - and they closed it. Andy stopped playing there - as he told me at the Everyone Stares screening..."I don't do that anymore." Ooooooo k. Dennis Smith and I shared many fond memories of the joint at the "Desire" opening. If you're looking for an intimate venue to enjoy good music and great food, this is the place. Between sets and after, it's very common to go out back and chat with the musicians.

Gannin Arnold is the guitarist of the Coattail Riders.

The show is a CD release party and is said to promise additional guests, including Stephen Perkins from Jane's Addiction and Infectious Grooves. Check out Gannin's new CD - it has a lot of great musicians on it.
