OUR FIRST DISASTER GIG!
I stride manfully to my drums. Andy has started the opening guitar riff to MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE and the crowd is going nuts. Problem is, I missed hearing him start. Is he on the first time around or the second? I look over at Sting and he’s not much help, his cue is me – and I’m lost. Never mind. “Crack!” on the snare and I’m in, so Sting starts singing. Problem is, he heard my crack as two in the bar, but it was actually four – so we are half a bar out of sync with each other. Andy is in Idaho.
that's the bit that kills me.... "stride manfully to my drums"...

and reading that post again has whetted my appetite for the book.... reflective, self-depreciating, rivoting, humorous, freindly tone etc etc etc .

   well resurrected, animal.

happy anniversary stew!

Love this! Bryan read this to me BEFORE I became a fan. Even as a non-fan, I new it was just tongue-in-cheek.

Can't wait for the book! :D

So it's been two years. Who screwed up?
I can't tell which is more awesome -- that SC was thinking of Dietmar or that this is the performance that Dietmar liked best!
Still this.^
Dramatic highlights & a unique musical cosmos. Guaranteed.

Those were the good old days. Who here would love to see a gig, any gig, out of Stewart - no matter how flawed? (raises hand)

Those lucky damn Euros! At least there's La Jolla looming on the horizon for some...(still hoping a miracle transpires and DM/Moe can join us)....
On Google - site:stewartcopeland.net "your keyword here" - thanks DM!!

Ha! We used to have Flag virgins. Now we have Disaster Gig virgins.
In Dallas, the only game that really mattered was in the word gamelan.
