Bought tix last week for the 9:30 club Dave Wakling show but I might just be more excited that Fishbone are playing with them. Actually going to see Sting at the Academy of Music 153rd Anniversary Concert in Philly, it turns out friends had tickets and I never say no.

- Elvis Costello and the Sugarcanes.
- Ron Sexsmith.(solo acoustic)
- Tom Waits.
- any of Jack Whites bands,

A lot of hoping and praying will be needed.

Great artists all !

Hopefully Alison Moyet and Jools Holland who are playing on the Island at the end of April with Passenger as support.

Not sure about Festival and Bestival yet, depends on how rich I'm feeling.

Tonight we are going to see A Hard Day's Night (out of Lynchburg, Virginia) at our Kimball Theatre. They are a Beatles-tribute group and also do a great job as 2nd Flyte ( the Byrds.) This is about as wild and crazy as I will get in 2010. And we'll probably get to see them again in the fall; $10 a head. Can't beat it. And they are GOOD!

Bonnarooooooo! Usual suspects: Kings of Leon, Flaming Lips, but also Stevie Wonder and Conan O'Brien doing standup.

Also: tix in hand for Wilco, Muse, Aretha Franklin @ Ryman, Alan Toussaint, and The Church.

The Killers, Beyonce, The Cranberries, UB40, and Pitbull on febraury...in a few days MOBY and Guns and Roses In Lima, also will be scheduled Megadeth again, FRANZ FERDINAND March 30th Monumental Arena, AEROSMITH May 22 Monumental Arena, KORN April 15th San Marcos Stadium, PLACEBO April 20th Monumental Arena

* The old National Stadium of Lima (50,000 people capacity)is being rebuild and modernized for 2011, San Marcos Stadium (100,000 capacity) was aconditionated for rock spectacles around 60,000 people, Monumental Stadium (80,000) is banned for make concerts, because of rights of people who were owner of private balcony flats around the stadium around (2,000) that's why Monumental Arena is the place for making concerts at that point.

Little late but I saw Muse a few weeks ago in Georgia! They were ab-sol-utely freaking amazing. I was down front about 8 heads back and it was just super intense, dramatic and rocking the whole show. Highly recommended.

Im really excited about going to see Arctic Monkeys. They are like my fav band right now. I have seen them twice already and now they are playing an even smaller venue. Its actually a club in a college town near by.
Im talking a few hundred people in a club where the stage is only a few feet high.

Other than those 2 shows I have nothing else planned for 2010 but am keeping an eye for a Sting show. But only if I can get some of the Police crew to attend too :-)

There have been quite a few other good shows in town but have to be frugal.

BTW- Rodrigo y Gabriella! They were just here but I saw them last year. They are a must see for any guitar fans. They had the audience on their feet and clapping along. Especially Gabriella - her hands must be so rough. Her stamina for doing the percussion bats on the butt of her guitar are just inexhaustible. She took no break like Rodrigo did.

I second that. RyG just played Toronto on March 5 and it was unbelieveable. 1.5 hours of amazing acoustic guitars that combine latin, rock, jazz, and metal influences. Great visuals, including cameras on the guitars, as well as amazing enthusiasm coming from the duo and subsequently the crowd.

Yeah, we're getting some good shows here too but with tix >$70, that's nearly 2 bills for me & Pullet with the usual Ticketbastard service fees.

Have been tempted by Tom Petty & Clapton...plus R&G at the Ryman lately. But just can't swing 'em all right now.
