I do believe that Moeskido is right. Last year wasn't all of that for so many people that I think everyone had high hopes for 2010 only to find that it's all gone a bit T*** up early on. By that calculation we should all be having a great time by July and if not, well at least it'll be better weather!

I was so lucky to have 23 and a bit years with Jim and I miss him loads but I'm so thankful for all the fun we had and also grateful that he left under his own terms (in a tearing bloomin' hurry) the same way that he did everything else in his life. Now I don't have to make any painful decisions which I would have had to do when when his creaky joints got too bad. Also so much love and hugs from family and friends everywhere. I like the idea that we can/could both be a pain in the arse but we are/were both loved. You can't ask for better than that in life can you?

You're quite right Gio and I'm standing up again thanks to so much love and support and kind and funny messages in the post and e-mail and here on SC Net. (Someone who I knew from years back sent me a comfort present of two bars of chocolate and some thick socks! So sweet!)


In the spring we will plant a tree where Jim is buried to leave him with shade and shelter. I think he would like that.


Just as a funny end to the week, on Saturday my friend and I collected my car, which had just cost me a small fortune in repairs, from the garage. I was driving a borrowed car and my friend was driving my newly repaired car. We stopped at the local village shop to buy stuff for dinner and a very young girl who had probably just passed her driving test reversed into the front of my car smashing the number plate. The poor girl jumped out of her car as white as a ghost and with her bottom lip trembling. I think she was a bit puzzled as to why I was laughing my head off.
