That's what Sting said on a BBC radio 1 interview, he said couples would congratulate him for this "love song" saying that was "their song"... and Sting would think of it as a song about obsession and posessions which really has nothing to do with love...
Yes, I heard that too, but I think Sting lie, because if he wanted to make a song of an obsession, why he used mellow music...(commercial)

A song from an obsession is 'Mother-cool song with an obsesive lyrics and music-Avantgarde...

Reggatta de Blanc is the best for me.

Amazed at how many people are voting for Zenyatta!
They're all high...
I would be surprised if people did not vote for zenyatta mondatta. After listening to all five albums for 20 years it is staring me in the face that zenyatta is the best album. Best album means that it is consistently good all the way through. I like all the songs, even behind my camel to some degree. It has longevity. Regatta has better songs like bring on the night and message in a bottle but there are some weak songs too on the album. Those two albums are the best. The first album is vgood too. Ghost in the machine's production is poor and the horns don't work on some of the songs. Too cluttered in places. Synchronicity is good but they've taken the reggae out of it.

The bass rocks on zenyatta mondatta. Put voices inside my head, when the world is running down, man in a suitcase, canary in a coalmine on full volume and just enjoy the bass. Keep voting for this album as the best. I'm grooving to man in a suitcase as we speak. It's a killer track. the police rule.

Well I'm amazede too 'bout Zenyatta top the list, especially here at stewartcopeland.net
IMO it's Stewarts weakest album, as a drummer.
I voted for Regatta, but could go for Ghost In The Machine as well.

i'm a little confused here. how can people not put zenyatta at least in their top two of all the police albums. the bass is so hypnotic and groovy. How can anyone not like it. It's the police's crowning moment.

The lyrics alone are very obvious its about obsession and posession of a past lover.

But the music are VS the message.

Anyway, is a love step, when people wants to be owner or own to the other person.

Is very human, I never saw an obsession in that song, util I lived it...

Hey guys, we had a really great thread on this same discussion not that long ago...was trying to find it for your reading pleasure, but we have SO many new posts this month and last that I couldn't root it out.

Anyway, what I'm trying to say is, when you get a minute read back through the forum from about the middle of December. It's fun to see a timeline of what we were all talking about before, to where we really started to think there'd be a reunion, to now...

Just some $.02! DotD

p.s. I voted for 'Zenyatta.' ;) Although the truth is that I probably couldn't choose between Zenyatta, Ghost and Regatta for love or money...
On Google - site:stewartcopeland.net "your keyword here" - thanks DM!!

I'm not saying Zenyatta is a bad album, it's just not as good as Reggatta, it has all my favorites!
