Your ears start to question your taste in live music.

Or are we still talking about pee?

His next question is: "Why are musicians (and anybody with a loud-noise job) ears' ruined over time?" He wants the exact anatomical reason - no googling allowed!

Wait a moment! Am I meant as Dave?

For Vespa's question: I think it's because the eardrum get's broken after a while. (I know it's not right)

The answer i gave is wrong! The right answer is: because behind the eardrum or one of those tiny little bones after the eardrum, are some little fibers (also called Axon <-- I have only Wikipediated this one) that can get broken but don't regenerate again. So, after years of exposion to very deep sounds (like in the Killer-bass-OT) those axons diminish and once they are all broken, you're hearing impaired (<-- Wikipediated this one too, and am not sure this is grammatically correct)

I guess you have any more salts in your urine (wich are essential for life) and drinking you urine is perfectly useless.

Nope. I meant Vespapod when I said Dave. Sorry for the confusion.

Back to the urine drinking for a minute. Ok, so you can drink your recycled pee 6 times.
But, if urine (hahahaha) a ship wreck and dumped overboard, how are you supposed to collect it so you can drink it?

I'm still just astounded by how many people were vying to win the "recycled urine prize".

Heh. Here's another one related to the pee question...

The electrolytes in the pee become too concentrated and you begin to chemically burn tissues...

Next question hopefully google proof....(in dedication to Brittany Murphy)

Why are heart stents today better than they were five years ago?

HEART STENTS- are placed in the coronary arteries to open the lumen of the vessel when you are diagnosed with coronary artery disease..if they dont work you have open heart surgery.

I would think that the material they are made of is more advanced, and therefore more impervious to breakdown that placement in the body tissue would expose it to. The design has to have improved also in a way that would better suit it's purpose and also make it more resistent to the wear and tear that our body would naturally place on it.

Dear Doctor Dave, Did we get confirmation of the hearing loss answer? And, what did you think about that news story claiming that a young man died because the bass interrupted his heart rhythm?

EQ, My mind went the same place as Smudge's mind. After six times, I believe you are considered a groupie, or in this case, a nutter. (grin)

For the record, I have no interest in the recycled urine prize.

Ooooh! Ooooooh! I remember reading about this one somewhere. The stents are now made with some kind of antibacterial coating, maybe a built in anti-biotic, which makes them much less likely to spread infection. The old ones sometimes acted as a surface on which bacteria could grow and contaminate the nearby tissues.
