OT: Andy was at Sting's show last night....

I saw Sting last night at the Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine in NYC, and noticed Andy sitting in about the 5th row. I've only listened to If On a Winters Night once, so I approached the show with an open mind. I was pleasantly surprised. The show was better than I expected. Sting sounded fantastic and so did his musicians. If you get a chance to see the show, I recommend it. Btw.....no sign of Stewart.

I can imagine that the ambiance in the Cathedral Church must be great.


Maybe Stewart wasn't there because he doesn't want to give Sting the Flu!

THE POLICE REUNION MADE STING SICKThe recent THE POLICE reunion tour was tougher than frontman STING had imagined it would be - he was sick throughout the 2007 world trek.
The Roxanne rocker had to convince bandmates Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland that he was deadly serious about a reforming the band, and throughout the tour he feared he'd made a big mistake.
Sting tells Britain's Mojo magazine, "It was more difficult that I thought it would be. Psychologically speaking, that is.
"It was like going back to a dysfunctional marriage where all the old problems were still there. The truth is I got ill. I got physically ill. I got through it, but it wasn't easy."
The long tour, which took in 152 dates around the world, ended in New York last year (08), with Sting insisting the trio would never reform again

It sounds like a great show Zambini. I hope I get the chance to see it sometime. I've never seen Sting play live but always prefer his live DVD's as opposed to the studio recorded stuff.

It was interesting to read in Policefan's post that Sting was Physically ill during the 07 part of the tour. We saw them play at Wembley 20th October 07 and it was Andy who looked poorly. When we came out we all remarked that he had played brilliantly despite looking like he was fighting off the flu or some other nasty bug.

We saw them again at The Isle of Wight festival the following June and thankfully they all looked fighting fit.
