UPDATE Nutter Holiday Party - Philly - December

The EL VEZ & LOS STRAITJACKETS show is 7:30 on Friday night. I did see general admission tickets are still available (which is good, as otherwise you have to order a table minimum of food/drink at the venue). Tickets are $20 (+$4 online fee) if anyone definitely wants to go...I will order tickets if folks are, otherwise we'll just play it by ear when people get in on Friday (text/call me and we can plan either the show or dinner/drinks if interested?)

For those getting in early on Saturday, here's a good site to look at for things happening in the Philly area:

I totally recommend both the Mutter Museum and the Philadelphia Art Museum to anyone who hasn't been there before...great stuff.

I'll be at the craft bazaar at the Philadelphia Senior Center 9am-4pm that day (509 South Broad Street)...there will be lots of great craft items available there if anyone's looking for good holiday gifts. They're having a pancake breakfast 9:30am - 11am for $6 per person and a concert 11:30am - 12:30pm $4 per person...but it's free to walk in and shop!

Looks like Mr. Dive's in for sure. Apparently the London Nutters didn't quite run him off. ;) I think we'll be up for the Mutter museum on Saturday (not anytime early in the morning, mind you...we're nocturnal)

We'd be in for Straitjackets, depending on the venue, logistics, etc. More interested in seeing you guys than anything else.

Just one thing: Mr D and I aren't much up for bars these days, so we'll peel off early and just catch everybody Saturday if getting tanked is the destination. No worries, whatever happens.

I'll email with the details since it looks like it's potentially you, Mr. Dive, and potentially Conroy. Anyone else give me a holler.

I for one am glad the El Vez show is early, as I have to be up godawful early Saturday morning for the craft show. So no late night for me Friday anywhere...

Nancy & I will be getting into town around 3 pm on Friday. We'd like to meet up for dinner that evening if folks are interested. We might be interested in seeing the band Friday night. Just let us know what the plans end up being. Thanks, Sockii!

It's not looking good for me on Friday. My car is at the auto body shop getting repaired after firefighters damaged it a few weeks ago when they entered my house to put out the fire on my neighbor's house and deck. They couldn't guarantee it would be finished by tomorrow night. I didn't want to buy a ticket to the show on Friday or re-book my train ticket unless they knew for sure.

Email sent - the question right now seems to be show vs. late-dinner, or early-dinner for some + show for all, if possible.

We'll miss you, too, Nick. Maybe next year or whenever we're doing something kid-friendly, which does happen. Ask Meg! ;)

Anyway, am way looking forward to seeing you all and for sure we will be in by 6:30ish on Friday (unless there's a flight delay or some such). I just emailed Nancy, Indy, Sock to the effect that I don't much care what's up - the main plan is to see you all.

YAAAAAAY!!!!!!!

We'll miss you Nick, but nobody will argue that your lil' sweet pea's grandparents are a higher priority than even us Nutters! Have a great time showing him off and safe travels to you all!

I'm coming up to Philly Saturday afternoon, so Friday night festivities are out for me.
However, I'll be around for a bit on Sunday morning before I head back home.

At the moment five of us (possibly 6) are getting together Friday night at Vietnam Palace for dinner at 8pm:

http://www.vietnampalacephilly.com/

If anyone else would care to join in, please holler! I will probably call them tomorrow to see if I can make a reservation, though I'm not sure whether they take them or not, especially on weekends.

Oh, and for those driving into Philly from South/West: just a note that the South Street Bridge is currently closed for major renovation work. There are detour signs around, but it would be to your advantage to become familiar with alternative routes if necessary...
