When did Stewart touch your life?

Actually I was 11 years old in late 79 and I bought my first LPs second hand to some older friends of mine. They were Reggatta de Blanc, AC/DC Let there be rock, and Motorhead Bombers.
I remember I heard a few times on the radio at this time Message and Roxanne. So I played first Reggatta and I remember very well that I was immediately absolutely fascinated by the drumming of Stewart above all ! Even if I had no idea how to play drums at this time. I heard the record so many times since and of course bought later all the Police LPs. If I had to bring with me only one record on an island, I think it would be this one.

The second Stewart schock in my life is when I endly see him live in front of me at the Paris concert during the last tour ! I've waited this moment for so many times. I was first row in front of him. I remember the first snare hit on Message ! Woah!

First there was The Police. Then came Monday. Someone was sooo excited it made me all star struck.

First time: One day end 70s, begin 80s I heard Roxanne at a party, with my head between two large and loud speakers. (Don't ask).

I Had to save my pocket money for quite some time to buy Zenyatta, Reggatta and Outlandos (yes, in reverse order, don't ask me why). I liked Sting first, but decided the tall drummer wasn't scary and in fact far better looking, but more important was Klark Kent. I definitely lost my appetite for Stingo after 2 soloalbums, and lost sight of Stewart sometime after Rumble Fish.

I Police-Hibernated most of the 90s, until my brother bought me Message in a Box for my birthday. And in 2007...The Police reunited, I discovered SCNet, read the Dinnertales, and visited Amsterdam for my first ever live Police concert AND a very green flag. So that's when Stewart touched my life for the second time.
