OT: Elvis Costello Spectacle guest tonight?

Is anyone going to the "Spectacle" taping tonight in Toronto? A friend is going but they have not named who the guest will be. The rumor is Paul McCartney, but I hate to get her hopes up....anyone have any clues?

I'd be anxious to know, too. Being on the EC fan club mailing list, I received an e-mail telling me they had 50 pairs of tickets available on a first come first serve basis for that show. I replied within 10 minutes of receiving the news but still did not make the cut. Those things got snatched up quick.
It's the final show of the season, so it's bound to be somebody big. He already did a show with Bono and The Edge when U2 was in Toronto. How do you top that? I haven't heard anything about Paul being in town, or any other huge musical talent for that matter. But I'm pretty clueless on the best of days.
The show starts in an hour. I believe it's at the Masonic Temple. If your friend reports anything to you, I'd appreciate you passing on the news.

She texted me that she was in the front row, but they still weren't saying who the guest was. I heard another rumor on Twitter of Elton, but apparently he is in a London hospital. Just hope it wasn't Jermaine Jackson, although the freak factor on that would be pretty off the charts.

My Twitter spies are in the house...So far, it's Mary Louise Parker as guest, and she's interview Elvis...rumor has it she knows her stuff. There may be other guests, so stay tuned...

Now that my friend is seated I can admit that I got the tickets for her in the drawing. I was ready to reply to that email with my name until I realized it was in TO. I thought fast and she was the first name that came to mind, so I put her down. She's a huge Elvis fan so I knew that no matter who the guest(s) were, she would have a great time.

I actually thought about entering for a split second myself, but I GOTTA hold onto some money this year. Any word yet on who it was? Still just beyond bitter about missing Nick Lowe + Neko...(since, ya know, I never get to see any other cool concerts or do anything fun )

Sources say it was supposed to be Elton John who became ill at the last minute.

Elton was to turn the tables on Elvis and be the interviewer while Elvis played songs.

Hm. Elton was already on, last season. Seems a bit of a strange choice...
