I should have checked in here before I went! Thanks to our dear empty, I scored two free tickets, took a friend who's a big fan and had never seen them live, and it was BRILLIANT. We left early to avoid the clusterfuck that would've been getting out of a crowd of 96,000, and it worked, we were back in west LA by 12:15.

Bummer we could not meet up!
Although it would have been hard with the massive crowd.
I tried to meet up with some friends inside but forget it, they were to far from me and I didn't want to fight the crowd and security to get over to their section.
I was Section 19 row 33

Where were you and your friend?

Empty RAWKS!

She does indeed.

We were GA, but stayed out of the crowd; Scott and I both have mild phobias when it comes to being enclosed by too many people-oh the irony. :P And believe it or not, he managed to randomly bump into not one but TWO people he knew, one of whom was an old friend he hadn't seen for at least 20 years. Then I ran into MY friend when we were making a run for the shuttle!

Hope you can manage to snag a ticket for the Crooked Vultures show. Wish I could stick around to see it but alas, my visa runs out the day before. I DON'T WANNA GO HOME!

Wow, I couldn't believe the crowd when I looked down on the field.
I can only imagine. I felt a mild phobia just trying to get into the men's room
I would love to see Crooked Vultures but I don't know. That is a busy week for me, my son has a big holiday show the next night and I am invloved with that.
I can't complain though, U2 was amazing. What a fun afternoon(the parking lot was a massive party), then the Peas and just a phenomenal show by the boys from Dublin.

Please come back to LA for a visit! :)

I don’ know, I don’t know… The stage was waaay too big for BC Place. Looked even a little ridiculous to me and it seemed the band was too spread out, but the screen and the lights were impressive. The sound was pretty clear, though, at times I had to cover my ears to feel the music. The audience seriously rocked. I really enjoyed “crazy” and I loved it when TheEdge was singing. When Bono introduced Larry as the band founder, I thought that was pretty neat. We got to sing Happy Birthday to Bill Gates and Bono took a little girl on stage and they ran full circle. Bono said a few thank yous, Starbucks was included. I am glad that I went and I enjoyed it, but the performance didn’t break my heart.

Interesting, the stage fit perfect at The Rose Bowl, which does not have high stadium walls so the crowd really was part of the back drop.
"Crazy" was a highlight, I loved watching Larry run around the stage and Adam's purple base was awesome.
Bono did not bring anyone up on Sunday.

Any change in the set from Sunday? I don't suppose Pride came back, missed hearing that.

I missed hearing Pride and New Years Day.
I was surprised they dropped New Years Day.

But no complaints from me, I thought it was an amazing show.

Sorry - I know this is off topic. Throb - if there's any way you can work around your commitments without undue stress, do go see TCV. They are magnificent. More than the sum of the parts, and the parts are pretty incredible :-)

Interesting, same set except Beautiful Day and Mysterious were switched and Magnificent was dropped.

And yes thanks smudge for the encouragement. TCV does sound like a must see.
And as I said on another thread if they could only do ten nights in LA
