Well, that was not the intent of my post, but they kind of take a life of their own. I'm reading Life of the Net and it is one of the risks of the cyberworld. And, again (story of my life) of cultural diversity. What I think is funny is not necessarily funny for others. But that's the way things are.

Serious over-analysis was not implied. It was just tongue-in-cheek as in: (Dramatic chord) Has he (Escalating chord) really (Painful drum roll) read it??? Only Stingo knows the truth, of course. And let's leave it as that.

...but more to the point is that I continue to notice that Sting doesn't say anything outwardly negative and never really has about Stewart or Andy...you can read anything you want into what he does say. I know what I DID HEAR Sting say at MSG and that was that he called Stewart and Andy "two of the finest musicians on the planet." I will choose to believe he meant that and if he didn't that's not my problem!

Lennon and McCartney had their ups and downs over the years, too, and at their worst moments they traded some pretty pointed barbs. (Paul's song "Too Many People" is widely understood to be about John and Yoko, and John's song "How Do You Sleep" is explicitly -- and harshly -- about Paul.) But you have to put that stuff in the overall context of their history together, and (just as with Stewart and Sting) their collaboration resulted in a pretty significant body of work, as well as significant mutual respect and affection.

We don't seem to get along. And that is okay. There are no hard feelings. Funny how when I choose to not be diplomatic or "pc" it's "ridiculous."

It is clear to me that every time we enter a discussion it turns negative and frankly I don't need it. LinkedIn, actually, is for professional contacts so why we ever linked up there I don't know and I probably should not have agreed to that. We have not worked together, have we? I don't know you in a professional capacity at all.

I am a fan of THE POLICE. I don't take sides. I didn't know that being a fan of Stewart's meant you were supposed to agree to Sting-bashing and sit quietly when someone does it ALL THE TIME.

This thread is now a personal discussion between you too and you know it's something that probably forumers aren't that much interested about...ehehe...(unless you are on tv where it seems that works...but in that case you get money for that...hihihi).

C'mon; I can understand that sometimes personal feelings goes over the line, that a simple word can be taken with a lot more push than its real meaning; I don't want to go into further details due to something happened outsited this forum (but on facebook).
What I can say is that we're here to enjoy Stewart's music, and in this thread Stewart's book.

I apologize for the spat: I did not start it, and surely it's not pleasant to be addressed that way for reason I still fail to comprehend.
