Some Interviews and Police footage between songs in Spanish

This was taped from a local TV station back in the 80's. The film is a bit dark but the quality is very reasonable considering when this took place. This is quite a document as Mexico did not get to see any big international bands play locally back then. It was until the late 90's that international acts began playing in Mexico so the fact that The Police played there at the time was a very significant moment in Mexico's rock concert history.

People who attended the concert say that the audience was wearing tuxedos as this was considered to be a "gala event".

"We played in a strange place. It was in a sort of a new hotel and we played on the 20th floor. It was very expensive to get in. We played on a very sort of dangerous stage. It was falling apart as we played. Everyone went so crazy. We thought the whole stage would fall apart. It was good fun."

If you like STEWART, you'll love this DVD. His drums are really out front in the mix. And you get more shots of him than usual (most Police DVDs seem to be so Sting heavy). Stewart is in the lemon shirt and cucumber short shorts. Sting's bass is kind of tough to hear, though.
