UPDATE Nutter Holiday Party - Philly - December

Postby copeland_girl5 on 14 Oct 2009 22:05

Hi Gang,

Well it’s that time again…time for some Nutter holiday fun. I have been in contact with LaFourno restaurant and they would be very happy to have us with them again for our party. Al is offering a price fix menu again this year for the same all-inclusive price of $35 per person. This will include salad, bread, entrée, dessert, coffee/tea and one complimentary glass of wine or beer or sparkling water/soda. Taxes and gratuities are also included in the price. Menu options will be similar to last year…a veggie-type ravioli or chicken or tilapia. I’ll have more details later on. If we have 25+ people, they’ll be able to offer a 4th option.

So…first things first…we need a decision on the party date. At this point in time they have the first 2 Saturdays in December open…the 5th or 12th. So we need feedback and a consensus as to which date to go for. I will need to know a rough head-count as well as the date by next Wednesday, October 21st in order to confirm the reservation. Please post your thoughts/comments here in this thread.

Thanks everyone. Looking forward to seeing you all soon!

xo Laurie

hi there,

empty + mr. empty reporting for party!
(oh dear god, if he loves me after meeting all you, then we know he's a keeper. but i am sure he'll be fine.)

here's the real advantage to living in Cleveland- I must make it to the Nutter party! yeah!

i vote for the 12th as we have something on the 5th. but wild horses and Ben Hur soundtracks won't keep me away from this year's shindig!

Attending funcions like this is more complicated than it was a year ago, or even 6 weeks ago.

I am afraid I will be unlikely to attend this year. :(

ETA: Thanks to Laurie for taking the lead to organize it.

Hi Laurie,

Thanks so much for puting so much time and effort into organizing this. The 12th works best for me but like Meg, I'll go with whatever the majority chooses. I wouldn't miss it for the world! I've already been talking to Betsy excitedly about this years party waiting for the info. Just let me know if you need a check or any payment pre-party and I'll get it to you ASAP. See you soon!

As of right now, either date sounds good for counting me and vespa in.

As of right now the home front should also be available for any early or late night festivities (and crash space), though that is up to the whimsical gods of the real estate market to know for sure...

I will do my best to keep that damn grappa out of his hands this year. One shot Mikey! Ok... maybe 2 ;)

I'm in for either date.

OK, on calendar checking I'm going to put in a partiality towards the 12th over the 5th...I may have a craft bazaar to work on the 5th, if my calendar is like it was last year and the date of that event doesn't change.

Come on, Nick! Bring the Saminator with you! I'm sure the EC Nutters would be happy to cuddle him so you and Mrs. NJP could have a break and eat. When our first was really little we used to take her out all the time-- she typically slept through most things in her infant carrier.

If it doesn't, I have a stash on hand at my place.

Along with some primo tequila. A bartender at Copa's recently helped point me towards some SERIOUSLY AWESEOME SHIT that I've since added to the bottomless liquor cabinet...

Uh-oh. Sounds like we're going to have to enact a "whatever happens in Philly, stays in Philly" edict
