OT: Got a new Guitar ? Yup!, lets talk.

"Yes, drummers sleep with their guitars too"

So I have always had a few guitars around my drum kit.
- a black Mexican Telecaster
- a sunburst Fender bass (Stingo's copy)
- Fender banjo
- Fender elec mandolin
- Fender Dobro (resonator acoustic, think Dire Straits)
- Simon and Patrick acoustic

I have been recording for a long while and couldn't get a "certain" guitar sound I wanted. Kinda like a Neil Young, Daniel Lanois sound.

Last week a found a weird one.
- 2007 re-issue of a Danelectro Pro in Keen Green (looks like a paddle) Cool warm sound.

BUT TONIGHT !!!

I pick up a freaking dream. This is like the green sparkle Tama kit of Stewarts...but in a Gibson Les Paul form! and this is a Robot. This guitar tunes itself. It has motors that will tune to any setting you like. On stage I can switch to open G or whatever in seconds, no guitar swapping. I only wanted a green Les Paul. This one was waaaay cheaper (limited edition too) guitarists were afraid or insulted by it. It was over $3000. Now it;s around a grand. Hard to find too.

I will be playing a sparkle green Les Paul tonight.

So another thing has gone right ! (DM was the first, YES !) maybe this coming year can be good.

You guys are gonna be hearing some crap soon....watch out.

I guess 'crap' is one of those north 'merican/british words that doesn't work the same way in english.

BB - do they have a piano version of that?! Glad you've found an inspiring piece of kit, mate. Just don't call your work 'crap', ok? :-)

It's a glorious day isn't it Binmonkey ?

Holy snappin Arseholes !

It's like I have never had a guitar. Surpassed all of my expectations.

Stunning.

Oh and "crap" means:

- C - credible
- R - Russ
- A - always
- P - paradiddles

It's early and I'm sure I spelled that wrong.

"Don't Care, cause I am the Coolest thing in town" (cause I have a green Les Paul).

Hey Stewart ? do you have a Gibson Buddy ?

Happy Monkey dances.

you would not believe my indecision.

I did some video of me playing guitar and a few experiments with songs. I keep trying to make one I like but I have not been happy. I have been doing takes almost everyday for 3 weeks, snuh and meh.

I also have some original tunes I have recorded but not quite there yet.

I'm sorry I take so long.

Hey DM, do you like Tom Waits or Johnny Cash ? Wierd question I know but I had some weird covers I was working on.

...oh and the two new guitars really slowed me down too.

I think I am getting better but my singing is not good enough. I want to have a no excuses song. Just put it up and be proud. I am very close.

Love that yer back DM.

It's an exact and accurate copy of the "Fender Andy Summers Tribute Telecaster" made by the Custom Shop !

This one was made by a luthier ,
