Anyone else like them? They have a few songs that I really like. They have a new single on the new Twilight soundtrack that knocked my socks off the other day - Meet Me on the Equinox. *Sigh* You can see the video on their myspace page.

I Will Possess Your Heart absolutely drove me INSANE! I was surprised it didn't do well. I guess I would suck as an A&R person!

I also liked Crooked Teeth and I Will Follow You Into the Dark.

do yrself a favour and listen to "the photo album" and "we have the facts and we're voting yes"..... soooo much better than their MOR schmaltz these days....

I'll tell ya one thing -- their drummer (Jason McGerr) is technically, musically and philosophically sensational. I was at the 2006 Modern Drummer Festival (primarily to see STEWART/Gizmo) and McGerr's performance was absolutely mind-blowing. I'm not sure if the whole thing made it onto the video, but even if it didn't I highly recommend checking it out.

Hell yes! I remember that performance, he really was one of the standouts of the festival (without all the "flash" and overblown soloing/testosterone-laden how-fast-can-I-play theatrics of some of the others who were on stage that day). I really learned a lot from him that day.

Anyway, I've only recently been checking out DCfC more seriously and definitely enjoy a great deal of their stuff, especially for their lyrics though some of their songs are so depressing, as beautiful as they are, I really can't listen to them on a regular basis ("What Sarah Said" regularly triggers me in the worst way, as much as I think it's one of the most beautiful "pop" songs ever written).
