Then I spent a few minutes answering this question and that trying to get someone to fix it for me, and at the very end it asked me to purchase support. I'm going to just call my bank and have them cancel the payment. I'm never ordering anything through itunes again.

I bought my copy through booksonboard.com and had no problem listening on my computer or converting for my ipod. They even have a free sample audio book you can download first to make sure your computer & software is compatible before sending them any money.

I wonder if there'll be advance copies of the CD version available at the Amoeba signings next week?

Of course if you try and order an Audiobook directly on your iPod without going through iTunes on your computer (I imagine it's a PC) first you're going to have problems. It's not like downloading a video or a song.

My download went without a glitch.

I called them up and explained my problem, and the guy told me he wouldn't help me unless I paid for support. I said fine, then I would just take it up with my bank, and he then transfered me to a woman that helped, for free. She said she could tell me how to fix it in just a few minutes, but by then I didn't want to give apple a dime. She was cool about it, and cancelled the book, and my account. She says my money is refunded, I'll have to check up on that. I'll check the other sites to get it from tomorow.

I couldn't download it from iTunes because audiobooks are not available yet for the Romanian store, but thankfully I managed to buy it from audible.com, yay! :) This is gonna be a lot of fun to listen to and try to read at the same time (if I can keep up with Stewart, that is  ).

I have the book and the audio version from booksonboard.com. I had no problem downloading this on my I-pod. I love the audio version, very worth the 12.00 something dollars I paid for it. I will also buy the official release when available. I could not wait and you need to hear it...you shall love it I promise...Stewart has a way of getting his points across and believe me this is "no sleeper audio" very very entertaining. Thanks Stewart!!!!

Well itunes never really refunded the money, I had to bring up a dispute with BOA. How long until the cd copies will be available? If not I'll just get it through audible.

Looks like we are getting closer to a release. Haper Collins has put up on thier website a cover of the audio book. Says read by author includes music composed by Stewart Copeland. But still not on Amazon as of this morning. If they have any audiobooks at Amoeba on Thursday, I am grabbing one.

Ordered a signed book from Amoeba.com. Then from the tips of others downloaded the audiobook from itunes-no problem. already listened to 4 chapters.

Stewart- does all the dramatic voices and there are songs, Its wonderful. I highly recommend listening to it on your ipod while getting ready to go to sleep. It made me have wonderful dreams! :)

I might even get it once it does come out on CD. If it does. Just to have the whole package.
and
will be on the look out for the Tiger Beat issue with the poster for complete set! LOL

I had a $15 gift card from Itunes that I have been meaning to use and I saw the audio book was $14.99 so I bought the audio book on Itunes. First time I have ever bought an audio book from itunes(I usually get books on CD from the library).

I thought I could burn it on to CDs and listen in my car since all I have in my car is a CD player. But it is all on one big file.

I am technically clueless on this stuff but I know the experts out there could help answer my question:

How do I get it from itunes onto CDs :?: :?:

Help!

Aw hell. I couldn't stand the suspense and downloaded.

What can I say: pure wonderfulness. Although...it's kinda odd to hear our STEWART speaking so slowly. ;)

Amazon is listing the CD version of STH as being released on the Dec. 29 (I think that's correct). Available for pre-order: $21 and some change.

Any idea when the soundtrack to Ben Hur Live will be released in the US?
