Nick, thanks for changing the thread title! You haven't been posting at your usual rate; what gives?

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. You too, Madgrad!

This past weekend Rusty James came by and met the little dude, who's rocking his Nutters For Life bib and doing his best Elvis sneer in this pic:

I let Rusty come in even though he wore a Zildjian shirt to a Paiste house. Actually Zildjian is my second fave cymbal and thier rides are among the best IMO. Whenever RJ comes over we end up chatting and then run out of time playing drums, so next time he comes over we're gonna get right into a heavy session....of drumming, that is. More pics coming.

OT drum geek trivia question:

Which Police album did STEWART swich to Paiste from Zildjian?

I can't remember but I think during zenyatta he had some Paistes. He certainly changed in march of 1981 when he endorsed Paiste.

And good luck with the baby

Not just what you would think. Sam and I remain in a Hosuton hotel room where Sam has spent nearl;y all of his life. We are STILL awaiting permission to bring him home to Virginia from Houston, Texas. Virginia keeps requesting additional documents uin order to approve it but some of the requested documents don't exist. The adoption agency is trying to explain that we have given what there is but we feel we are being draged deeper and deeper into bureaurcracy hell.

So what should be a happy time is quite dreadful as the uncertainty continues seemingly unendingly. It might be cleared up today but it oculd have been cleared up for several days and hasn't been.

Here's hoping it can all be cleared up soon so you can bring Sam home asap.

Note to self: For the next visit I'll leave the wife at home so she can't talk the paint off the walls
(I'm gonna get flamed for that)
That was a fun day Tamadude!

Update: we finally were cleared and I am taking Sam home right now.

And one more Klark Kent link. On my ipod on the first leg of the flight I heard Excesses. While the song has no real connection to a 2 1/2 week old who has no excesses yet other than crying but there was one line that was right on:

"I am ready to go home"

So true for him and me.

Finally, Nick! Let the good times roll!
My brother-in-law (who lives in Charlottesville) adopted a baby from Guatamlala 5 years ago and I don't remember them having near the problems you''ve encountered. Virginia is so antiquated sometimes. All's well that end's well!

Belated-

Nick congratulations! Adoption is great. He is beautiful. Good Luck with all the new baby experiences.
It will be a fun holiday season for you and your wife with a new little one to enjoy!

Are you going to dress him up for his first Halloween?

Tamadude- congrat to you too. We never met but this is like your 3rd baby right? How do even find time to play drums. congrats to you & your family. Babies are always fun even when they cry.

I helped my friend on shifts when her little one came home with colic for like 8 months!

((Hugs)) & blessings to the little ones;
Hee, & tired mommies/daddies.
Happy Halloweenie
