Ok, furthermore: I think that they will play Are We Not Men? the first night and Freedom of Choice the second--in their entireties...(I'm basing this unconfirmed guess on a show poster for the SF shows that has them doing that for the 2 consecutive nights there).

Public sale is 9/18 at 10AM through LiveNation (Fillmore @ Irving Plaza is a LiveNation venue) and wanted to give you all the heads-up since I barely found out about this (actually found out through LN twitter and not the DEVO mailing list or any other possible avenue)

ETA: Just in from Devo this morning:

The day the reissues are released, DEVO will launch a series of very special live performances in select markets (Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago, Washington D.C., New York City, and Toronto), during which they will play back-to-back nights in each city. One the first night, the band will perform Are We Not Men? in its entirety; on the second night, they will perform Freedom of Choice in its entirety. As a bonus, fans who purchase tickets onlineto any one of these concerts will receive three demos recently uncovered in the DEVO vaults. The three previously unreleased versions, "Whip It," "Red Shark" (later re-titled "it's Not Right" and recorded with different lyrics), and "Turn Around," were all recorded on a four-track in the band's rehearsal space at Modern Music in Hollywood, CA.Tickets for most of the shows go on-sale on September 18th. All tour dates are listed below.

Aww too bad we have to miss the 930 shows, that'll be a great place to see em! We're gonna be at our national conference that Sun and Mon. We will be able to catch then in NYC though, thankfully, right before the Pixies (go go Thanksgiving break...woot woot!)

I was going to try to make this, but I didn't get tix. Job sitch isn't too good right now and I didn't want to overextend myself. I'll wing it when the time comes. I'd love to see you all of course, so maybe I'll just shoot up to the city.

Hubby and I are doing both SF nights. First night GA with meet and greet (it was only $30 more) and second night in the balcony. I am totally hoping they their wear the energy domes for M&G photos.
