OT - Gone for a bit

OT - Gone for a bit

Postby Bunky on 15 Sep 2009 02:52

Well I wanted to say hi to everyone and let you know that I have been gone for a bit. I was stalking for a while last spring and then my husband passed away very suddenly on May 31st. Since then it has been crazy and, quite frankly, I have been avoiding this site and everything having to do with The Police. My husband and I were HUGE fans - in fact we actually fell in love at a Police concert - Ghost in the Machine tour - so thinking of coming back and diving into the fray here was a bit overwhelming. Hope you all have been well and I look forward to reading about all of your crazy, amazing lives.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I admire your courage for returning to this site given the circumstances. I hope you continue to feel welcome here and glean a few laughs from all the tomfoolery.

Bunky, I'm so sorry to hear about your husband. I hope things are getting alittle better for you.
Welcome back and I hope our silliness and, as LL said, tomfoolery will help brighten your days.

My condolences to you. I can't imagine what it must be like to lose your soulmate - especially suddenly.

I have also been dealing with the sudden and unexpected lose of my father this March. Our family skiing and the RCMP came and tracked me down to tell me as my mother was out of town and they had to inform next of kin. Very surreal.

I had to call my mother and tell her over the phone. No son should ever have to do that.

I hope with time you find the peace you need.

Oh, Bunky, I'm so sorry for your loss. Like the others have said, it takes a lot of strength to come here under the circumstances, and I hope the forum can bring you some lightness and escape.

Very sorry to hear of your loss as well, Dermot, and the circumstances surrounding it.

Much love to you both.
Dramatic highlights & a unique musical cosmos. Guaranteed.

Oh, Bunky. I am so sorry for your loss. I think your husband wouldn't want you to give up this love you shared of this band.

And Dermot. I can't even imagine what that was like. I'm so sorry.

Bunky, I would have to agree with Bella. Your husband would have wanted you to hang out with us and not forget the good times you had around The Police! He will be here with you in spirit!
