Stewart told me that if he would start writing a book, he would do that talking about what happened after the Police break up (the first break up we can now say) .... now he should add the 'appendix'...The Police in 2007/2008!!!

It's funny because yesterday I just wondered if he had a book out and now I discovered this thread. I would really appreciate a publication by Stewart. Having read Stings and Andys autobiographies Stewarts words of wisdom are still missing.

As the two other guys mainly dealt with the past I would love to read Stewarts thoughts and opinions on the whole reunion thing. Maybe he could combine it with a weblog - excerpts in advance for us nuts here and later a detailed version in book form? Just having visions... sorry!

Well, I guess we already got a pretty good account of the Copeland kids' childhood from Ian's book (although I'd still like to read what Stewart has to say about it)...but we'd hear more about the Rhythmatist filming. And della Taranta and Gizmo.

Although, a simple post-breakup book would leave out the Klark Kent record...and Curved Air.

(I was doing some Googling the other day and you know what? I really like that Curved Air stuff. They broke up when I was in short pants, but I've always been a fan of that Eno/Roxy Music/glam rock sound. I've got a couple of the records on order.)

I like some of it a lot too, but then, I've always been a prog fan as well.

If you're getting any Curved Air stuff, I highly recommend the Live at the BBC ("On Air") disc, which is my favorite. Nice overview of the band through various line-ups and some of the tracks sound *so* much better live than in the studio. (I also really like Sonja's last disc with Mask, "Heavy Petal", which is great atmospheric stuff, if a bit new-agey...)

I still want an autobiography by Stewart. He's a really good story teller, with the added comedy... the book I'm sure would be even better.

I don't really want to hear about The Police era, just before and after, mostly before.

We might, just might, have a chance for one after the tour.

I'm a newbie to the site,...but a fan for a long time...and I have to say- I have read a lot of autobiographies...Cash by Johnny Cash, Sting's Book, Hillary's book, Anne Heche's book...but Stewart is such a colorful and comedic writer- I think it would sell -just for the sheer fact that his life is entertaining and it would be like watching the travel channel only w/ a warped sense of humor and a more vivid description- so, I hope Stewart sees these 'pleas' and that a book deal is definitely in the works.

My 2nd plea: I really think there should be a LIVE Police Reunion CD cut after the tour. The Bee Gee's did it w/ their concert in Vegas and it was so good! I think everyone is genuinely interested in the slightly new arrangements of the music, the energy from the crowd in the different venues, the different setlists...I am also a huge Dave Matthews fan-and nothing beats the LIVE stuff....its all new- all different- all the time.

That's all I have to say about that...
