Yup. You two are quite a double act! Thank you both so much. Love the group shots at the restaurant Julia - you got everyone looking so relaxed! And the pics from the island are fantastic. The light is just beautiful - very, very envious of you all :-)

[quote="TOWOS"]LL, It was one of the most bizarre events in my life - I was getting back to our table with JennyM and saw Fi and Stewart coming out of a car/limo/whatever it was. Stopped in my tracks and panic paralysis ensued - at a safe distance, and with the burkah ready, I saw Stewart and his lovely wife actually stopping at our table. At this point the panic transformed into terror (I wasn't even medicated this time!) and I decided to stare this way at them from behind the column where I was hiding, coming out only when The Royal Couple had disappeared into the restaurant.

Coming back to the table (rather confused, I must said) I was saluted by general laughs and well-deserved heckling.

I think I now deserve the title of Most Idiotic Nutter Ever, but I just couldn't.

I'd like to hear a little bit more about Stewart's visit

Yes, he just happened to stop by but didn't say much. The group was having our nice pre-concert dinner in the outside seating area of Roppongi Resturant. After TOWOS stepped away, Stewart and his wife came into to area on his way to meet college buddies of his at the same resturant. He saw us and pleasentaly acknolwedged his fans. I will admitt I can't recall exactly what he said. Something like look at all of you here and enjoy the meal. He then chatted with empty for a second and went into to resturant. We resisted the stalking tempation and we didn't slow him down by asking for his signature, for a photograph or by asking him a question, although none of us save TOWOS actually hid from him.

The attendees have not yet done a good job of explaining the various interactions with Stewart on this occession and hopefully we will get more recollections up here as we make it home.

Larissa,

You thrill me with your unintentional compliment, naming me when tagging this picture.  http://www.flickr.com/photos/laraclifford/3854314195/

We were both wearing black and have similar hair, BUT, that is Fiona next to Stewart, not me. I was on the other side of the table with Dive and Lynne.

Ahahaha, I asked Dive (or maybe it was Meg) and they said, "yeah, that's Shannon!" so we were all fooled! And Fiona is the one being complimented, madam. 8) (Don't smite me Stewart.)

NJ I'd say you have the whole thing about right. Hans was sitting next to me and noticed Stewart jump out of the black SUV. He must of recognized a few of the net nutters as he stopped to acknowledge all of us and of course recognized empty and said hi to her also acknowledging Saffron questioning if empty was the mama.

Stewart, you always seem a little surprised of how many of us attend your events?

After saying why he was there he moved on. It was a very wonderful surprise plus another example of how generous he is with sharing his time :)
