hi everyone, especially the 20 people i almost got to meet - waaahhh. I actually started down, then thought better of it. glad i followed my instincts, cuz i would've had to leave just as the show started (after happy hour, no less - NOT a good idea). carrie is okay, didn't have to go back to hospital. i'll spare you the details, but lots of medication changes are wreaking havoc - but the long-term payoff will be awesome; any time i can get her off a med is an occasion to rejoice.

i'm hoping someone filmed and posted at least some of the concert, maybe videos are even available through ucsd. h

Yes, they were definitely filming the concert as were the rehearsals. For what future purpose remains to be seen. It would be a shame to keep this performance buried in some archive, particularly what everyone agrees is probably the best performance of the Gene Pool ever.

HOLY MAGNOLIA! I had my van checked today because it smelled hot. I was completely out of coolant - looks like my AC has bitten the dust because of it. If I had driven to San Diego and back, I would have ruined the whole engine. Whooaaa - some things just DO happen for a reason.

What C said. The more I "feel the effects" of the Gene Pool Strain, the more I am amazed at how extraordinary this one is.
And yes, from my Princely Seat (Thanks again, Kel!!!) I could clearly see the cameramen filming the event...
