Gee, good thing I lugged 75+ lbs of dive gear, missed dinner last night to get up early, etc. Got to dive site and
"they had a swell come in", visibility is supposedly bad so they cancelled dives.

Now. The cynical part of me would like to believe they had a hungover dive guide. We were out there yesterday, water flat as glass, etc. I am INCREDIBLY pissed.

However, the upside is of course more time with u ppl. It's 6:45 AM and I knoooow nobody else is up. Call me when there's a plan for brekky.

Probably. I understand the remaining ladies are going out to Coronado Isl. today. So I'll probably leave after breakfast - dunno yet what Larissa plans to do, but I'll wait till I see her since there was talk of a convoy. currently I'm in the Hilton lobby Googling for reputable tour operators near L.A., since I'll have some time to do some diving Tuesday maybe.

Man. Just sucks. We went sea kayaking last night out in the Cove and it was just beautiful. I had so looked forward to seeing leopard sharks, but unfortunately I neglected to double check this dive operator's bona fides before booking with 'em. Note to Jen & other divers: PADI are those four little magic letters you want to see. Sigh. Upon reflection I may have dodged a bullet here - if this is how this crappy operator conducts affairs I'm probably glad I'm not out in the water with 'em.

Just finished watching Police Around the World and playing the "take a drink for each on-screen appearance of St. Jeff" game. I've got a good buzz right now.
