Tomorrow I'm going to watch Rumblefish with a friend from work. Today I am trying to catch up with some friends from college (BP, before-Police) who have come into town.
I haven't had a drink in 17+ years... Maybe I'll have a Diet Coke later and live dangerously!
Thanks to everyone for sharing their stories...

yesterday I had to go into a flea infested property that had been abandoned and close all the windows, needless to say the little blighters cadged a lift into my car/office/house

so this weekend I will be madly hoovering and spraying anything that stays still for long enough, including the poor dog, pausing only to scratch my bites and to chair a committee meeting of the National Fancy Rat Society tomorrow morning at my brothers hotel...

after all that frenetic activity I will open a bottle of red tomorrow night, slap on the Tarantula DVD and think of all you lucky nutters across the pond who have had La Jolla love

I am going to work as little, and drink as much, as possible.

And overuse commas at will.

I thought by now I would be done with school, but alas, the university is not finished torturing me yet. I will be working on one final paper while other get to enjoy La Jolla.

Tonight though I'll make my new favorite cocktail - lemonade, limoncello, and blackberry vodka over ice - very refreshing!

I like the way you think, Schmaff.

I won't be on too much until Tuesday, most likely. Internet here in the boonies is hard to come by and I'm going to spend some quiet time enjoying the country life. I got to pet and play with some beautiful, soft chickens this afternoon and half-feral kittens. That was a lot of fun.

I'm now catching up on all the La Jolla threads and finally enjoying that white wine I was hoping to have last night. (I didn't think it was wise to stop to buy liquor last night when I was trying to outdrive a tornado producing storm.) And I, too, am overusing commas, but that's nothing new for me. After a bit more wine, I might go really wild and start misusing apostrophes again. It'll be time to cut me off if you find I'm going nuts with semi-colons.

Recovering from the first week back with my 2nd-5th graders, along with breaking in a new (and very young) principal and a bunch of naive, idealistic new teachers.

Trying to figure out where the !@#$ my son will go to kindergarten. And running out of time. Right now it's home school or private school. Probably gonna flip a coin.

Getting the house ready for my mother's annual visit. This time she's bunking down here. Zoinks!

I hate you LaJolla people...

On the upside, I get to play a yard party with my new band tomorrow night.

Had an entirely sober night out with a friend. Conversation was limited by the ingestion of vast quantities of italian seafood. Movement today is being limited by the ingestion yesterday of vast quantities of italian seafood. I am now trying to figure out a) why I bought a kilo of greengages, and b) what to do with a kilo of greengages. Suggestions welcome.

Hope you and your brood have located your cycle helmets LL, that sounded much too close for comfort.

ETA Should I have employed a semi-colon in place of the comma in that last sentence?

Would suggest that you never have an entirely sober night out as it often results in the purchase of unnecessarily healthy items such as a kilo of greengages (as opposed to a kilo of chips).

My advice is to bag 'em up sharpish, bung them in the freezer then use them as missiles to repel any advancing carol singers because it's nearly Christmas, or at least I think it is because the decorations are going on sale already. NB(Partially defrosting aforementioned greengages before launching may save you from a GBH charge.)
