NEW POLICE ALBUM in 2010 ???

Postby Bonty on 13 Aug 2009 07:28

Hello 2 the forum,

there are some new rumours that they will do it again next year.....that´s the reason that sting not offer a new project...only if on a winter´s night....and this is his deutsche grammophone experience and not any stuff for AM / Records / Motor Music......

They are no plas 2 record with dominic or manu next year !!! Why is the question ?????
Like i allways say dietmar don´t know all.....and i don´t mean it evil......
I remember when i write him about the police reunion 2006.....and he writes back never ever....and then the big surprise....is this all ????

Could it be that the new plans a hide 4 the fan base ???

I saw them 3 times last year and they concerts are great...... how could they sound in 2012 ? With synthies withput saxophone....only the reggae style of Regatta...would be great.....stripe down only the 3 mate´s

Andy Summers is hoping it too and in silence i can imagine that stew is doing the same......
It would be a great challenge for both sting and stew.....

Sting enjoy holiday in france......and i wil wonder what next year will offer......????
Why is he playing so much Police stuff at his solo concerts....?????
big question.....!!!!!!

He knows that a new The Police album will bring much more money then a Solo Album......
And like we all know the reunion was a money factor ....and not a nostalgica thing....

I wish U all a nice day.....

it's my greatest concern that I don't know everything about The Police...
(but I'm on my way to find out!)
and I still don't have the gifts of clairvoyance or predicting the future

without further spoilers - read Stewart's forthcoming book about the possibility of recording with Sting

If there is a new Police album in 2010, I will invite everyone to my house in Vegas to stay warm because hell will have obviously frozen over. The chances of Stewart and Sting finishing an album alive (let alone getting them to agree to it in the first place) are about as great as my winning Wimbledon. I am happy with the albums the Police have given their fans in the past and look forward to the new projects that the boys will be giving us in the future individually. I think solo projects are the only way we are going to get a product that is the result of their undiluted enthusiasm. Any Police album would likely be just an exercise of compromise and attempts to frustrate for the sake of frustrating (ok, maybe not the last part), which would not likely result in the best product the three could otherwise produce.
There is no bigger gong.

Just an aside: Thanks for saying "read the book" instead of posting what's in it, Dietmar. Noted and appreciated.

Listen, I wasn't supposed to reveal this, but since the cat is out of the bag...

Don't tell the Reuters, okay?

Actually, they are recording their new album at my house next week while I'm in La Jolla. Yeah, I know Stewart can't be there, so Sting is planning to record Stewart's drum parts on my Casio keyboard, and Stewart said that was cool, he trusted Sting with those parts too. Incidentally, Andy is planning to play my cheapo strat. And, Henri is sitting in for a few songs too. My 5-year-old daughter developed all the lyrics and wrote them down on Spongebob squarepants sticky notes so the guys can randomly rearrange them. It won't matter if they rearrange them though because all of the songs are about Disney princesses, bananas and fruit roll ups. And, in exchange for letting them use my space, Sting has offered to mow the lawn and weed the garden right after they are finished recording. In fact, I think I see Trudy out there now getting a jump start on it, because, in fairness, there are a lot of weeds to pull. But, I digress...

Oh yeah, and the title of the album is Kindergatta Princessamoratta Bananapants. Now you know.

And, NONE of this is in Stewart's book.

Seeing as how Everyone Stares kind of prompted the tour in a way, maybe the film version of One Train Later will inspire another project!
